Becoming more sustainable and doing my bit for planet Earth is an ongoing mission and a journey. By no means am I 100% sustainable as a business, but I am continuing to learn and make steps to becoming even more sustainable.
This year I'll be moving towards being a paperless business menaing ditching business cards and flyers, and instead offering a QR to scan and take you straight to my website and socials.
My wedding fayre stand is predominately made up from items that i have upcycled or found at Charity shops or off Vinted. I'm massively into pre-loved and am no stranger to rummaging in second hand shops and thrifting some bargs!
I'm no stranger to matching my outfit to a wedding theme or something more specific if requested by the nearly weds. The majority of outfits that I wear have been sourced from upcycled and pre-loved items.
...that sounded super official didn't it? I'd love to say that I commute using public transport to all of my ceremonies, but as I live in the countryside making public transport not always the most accessible option (taking into account my disabilities too), I have recently switched to a hybrid car and will move to fully electric by 2030.
When I first started out as a celebrant I planned a wedding with sustainability at the heart of it. From an upcycled cake stand using pipes to a wheelbarrow to hold your reception beers, this wedding had a eco friendly mindset but also aesthetically beautiful.
